Goodbye to 2017. Hello 2018.

Goodbye to 2017. Hello 2018.

2017 was a big year.

Lots of highs.

Lots of lows.

It was a year of love and of loss and of birth and endings and new beginnings.

I became a mom, something I've wanted to be for SO long.

Like everyone said it would, this new role has challenged me in so many ways to grow, but has expanded my heart like I could never fathom before--for my husband, for the baby, for the one on the way, and for the many many family and friends who have shown such tremendous love toward us with help, meals, care, and a soft place to land when stuff gets hard.

In 2017, my brother married the love of his life, so I got a new sister (finally officially!) My baby sister graduated from college. We gathered at a gorgeous lake house to celebrate a milestone birthday for my mom.

Miraculously, and not without a TON of help, Compliment. continued to thrive in 2017. We celebrated our 6th year in business, gave away $3200 in scholarship money to two AMAZING first-generation college students, updated our packaging, launched new products, welcomed over 200 new participants in the Instacourse, started a writing circle, recorded Season 2 of the Pay Attention Podcast, and sent out thousands and thousands of gifts to women all over the world.

When I look back on 2017, I think back to the famous speech given by Jimmy Valvano at the first Espys (it's a classic and you should look it up if you want some great inspiration.)

He says, "If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that 7 days a week, you're gonna have something special."

I feel like all 365 days of 2017 were that for me.

Lots of emotion.

Lots of laughing, thinking, and crying.

It feels good walking into 2018.

I'm ready and await the abundance and joy and prosperity with open hands. .

May you be blessed in 2018 and always.

God is good.
