Last year around this time, so many changes were happening in my life.  Last January, I took a leave of absence from my teaching job, something very steady and stable and comfortable and leapt into building Compliment.  There was a lot more surrounding that decision that made it a necessary step.  It was terrifying.

This year has been full of incredible blessings for me and my little company-that-could.  At the beginning of 2013, I was tired of being sad and decided one way to flip my focus was to put my whole heart into Compliment.  That led me to signing up to take a super-rocking online business class in the early Spring.  I was crazy-overwhelmed with all the new stuff I was learning, so I posted in our local Facebook group, asking if anyone would want to meet up and work through the materials together.  Nikki was the one who responded. This time of year calls us to look at all we have with gratitude.  It's why Thanksgiving is my favorite of all the holidays. My family has some serious holiday traditions, which include gathering 90 of our closest family members and celebrating together.  Yep.  90!  

A couple of weeks ago, I got an email from a guy named Rob. He explained that he met me at about a month prior at an event where I had set up a Compliment booth.I remember conversing with him and his wife. They are originally from Tennessee and had recently moved to Northern California where Rob had gotten a job as a pastor at a local church. They have a couple kids.
