Here are 3 simple shifts you can make to move from SCARCITY to ABUNDANCE. 1. Make room. By holding on to too much stuff, we are sending the silent signal to the universe that we are not ready to receive more goodness.  “Stuff” can be anything: the clothes you don’t wear at the back of your closet, the piles of papers on your counter, the broken, inkless pens in your junk drawer.  GET RID OF IT.  Make room. Making Space

If you've been following this blog for a while, you'll know that I try to operate my life from an abundance mentality. It's a conscious and daily effort. It is actually, in clearer terms, the faith that the world is full of goodness and that there is plenty of it for all of us. This goodness may manifest in our lives as peace or health or wealth or joy or love. If we are able to slow down enough to be mindful of the good things around us, the idea is that we will see more good things.

I gotta be honest...A couple weekends ago, I hosted a vendor booth at one of my favorite local artisan events.  (You may be seen some of the fun pics we took that day on our Facebook and Instagram pages). The GOOD: street food + design in Sacramento market is so rad, mostly because there are so many creative people doing what they love and bringing cool stuff into the world--all in one place. They want to scare you. Don't let them.

Last week, I talked briefly about the stuff happening in Boston. My feelings have been really strong about this, but I needed an extra week to really come up with what I wanted to say. When huge tragedies occur like Boston, Sandy Hook, Columbine, 9-11, our collective conscious goes into panic mode.  We fixate on these ugly events as if somehow, knowing more information will explain the inexplicable.  As if every detail, every suspicion, every theory, every shot of the despair and carnage will somehow bring us closer to peace, cure the ache of loss, or make us feel safer....
