Friends of Compliment,
All I can say is OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG... I have been wanting to burst at the seams with excitement for the last couple weeks! Since I founded Compliment in 2011, it has been my goal to give back in a significant way to young women in my community. I am overcome with joy because today, I shout from the rooftops, that we are awarding two $350 cash awards (plus $100 in additional prizes) to two beautiful and talented local ladies from the Class of 2013. Before I announce the winners, though, let me just say that determining who would represent Compliment for the next year was no easy feat.
First, I rounded up a group of amazing Sacramento women who own their own businesses and are making an impact on our community. These incredible ladies lovingly agreed to be our 2013 Compliment Scholarship judges. They are:

Each of our judges was given the applications of all our applicants and cast their votes as to who they believed would be the best representation of a Compliment Scholar for this year. The votes were tallied and submitted to me. And here we are!
So it is without further ado that I announce that the winners of our Compliment Scholarship are:

We plan on honoring these outstanding young women and their families at a luncheon a couple weeks from now. (Stay tuned for pictures and lots of fanfare! You know how we do it over here at Compliment!)
Most of all, though, I want to say thank you to each of you who has purchased something from Compliment this past year, whether through our online shop, at one of our trunk shows, at GOOD: street food + design market, at any of the boutiques who carry Compliment or at any other one of our live events.
Each and every purchase made these gifts possible and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me continue to make this dream come true for me, so that together we can make the dreams come true of these deserving girls.
