My favorite posts each month are these from our Soul Care Series.  I love meeting new friends and introducing them to old friends, building a community of savvy, giving, loving women doing wonderful things.   This month is no different.  This month, I'm excited to introduce you to Julie Trappen, aka @teacherfashionista.  I have a special place in my heart for my fellow teachers (duh!) and am often inspired by the posts on her social medias.  She has a heart for kids and service and kindness.  You can read our interview, below. Hello! My name is Rowena Middleton. I moved to Sacramento years ago from Southern California. I am happily married and can't wait for babies and our own English Bulldog. I am Creative Director/ Owner of Urban Philosophy, a clothing boutique online that carry trendy woman apparel and accessories. I am also the owner and editor of the fashion blog Twentyeightvia where I share more of my personal style and tidbits of my life. Around the same time I started using Instagram to build Compliment's following, I started following the beautiful, inspiring feed of Stephanie Birch (@stephynow). Her feed consists of lots of super-bendy yoga poses, showing off the amazing things the human body can do. Her captions often talk about love and joy and vulnerability and motherhood. It was months later that I found out that this incredible soul I'm often inspired by, lives blocks from me! I sent her an email to see if we could meet up for this interview. 

This year has been full of incredible blessings for me and my little company-that-could.  At the beginning of 2013, I was tired of being sad and decided one way to flip my focus was to put my whole heart into Compliment.  That led me to signing up to take a super-rocking online business class in the early Spring.  I was crazy-overwhelmed with all the new stuff I was learning, so I posted in our local Facebook group, asking if anyone would want to meet up and work through the materials together.  Nikki was the one who responded.
